The recent CNN article discusses the current conservative makeup of the U.S. Supreme Court and its possible implications for issues such as affirmative action, LGBT rights, and election law. The six-judge conservative majority is poised to push a more conservative agenda in those areas, raising concerns about how far and how fast they intend to go.

The publication points out that although there have already been some unanimous decisions and some unexpected votes, the most controversial cases have not yet been decided. These decisions are likely to generate dissenting and inflamed opinions, putting the court at the center of a political debate. The appointment of three justices appointed by former President Donald Trump has strengthened the conservative majority and could shape the court for decades.

However, critics argue that conservative judges are putting their policy preferences above the stability of the law. There were accusations of politicization of the court, demonstrations in front of judges and allegations of possible ethical violations. Democrats in Congress also threaten to intervene in the court's internal affairs in pursuit of ethical reform.

Liberal justices, behind the scenes, are looking for ways to use their influence through dissent, seeking to win conservative votes or restrict the reach of opinions. One example cited is the environmental case in which Judge Kavanaugh sided with liberals.

The text mentions some specific issues that are currently under discussion before the Supreme Court, of which we will cite three. The first is affirmative action on college admissions, where the court is considering whether colleges and universities can continue to consider race as a factor in admissions. The second is the challenge to parts of the Voting Rights Act that could make it harder for minority voters to challenge congressional maps that claim to dilute their voting strength. Finally, the text addresses the dispute between the Biden administration and conservative states over immigration policies.

In short, the text highlights the influence of the conservative majority on the U.S. Supreme Court and the possible implications regarding important issues, raising concerns about the politicization of the court and the consequences of its decisions.
