Carnegie Hall in New York will celebrate Latino culture in the United States with the “Nuestros Sonidos” festival during the 2024-2025 season. The event will feature three main concerts that highlight the richness and diversity of Latin music. The program includes renowned artists such as Ivy Queen, Grupo Niche and Gustavo Dudamel, as well as others such as Monsieur Periné, Cinemafunk and Quetzal.
Key Highlights:
Ivy Queen: The "Queen of Reggaeton" will make her debut at Carnegie Hall on November 20, bringing her message of empowerment through a fusion of reggaeton, salsa, bachata and hip-hop.
Grupo Niche: The legendary Colombian salsa band will perform on April 17. Known for hits like "Cali Pachanguero" and "Una Aventura," the group continues to evolve musically, as demonstrated by their Latin GRAMMY-winning® albums.
Monsieur Periné: The band from Bogotá, which won the Latin GRAMMY for Best Alternative Album in 2023, will perform at Zankel Hall on February 22. Their innovative sound combines Latin American and European rhythms.
In addition to these artists, the festival will include performances by Gustavo Dudamel with the Los Angeles Philharmonic, soprano Lisette Oropesa, the group Quetzal, Roomful of Teeth with Tambuco Percussion Ensemble, jazz vocalist Claudia Acuña, and many others.
The festival will also promote free concerts,
interactive family events, and exclusive live-streamed content. In the spring
of 2025, the celebration will expand beyond Carnegie Hall, with public events
hosted by New York cultural institutions, including art exhibitions, dance
performances, and film screenings.
