A new initiative of the "Latino Vote Foundation", entitled "Vota Con Ganas", was launched with an investment of US$ 5 million to encourage the participation of the Latino community in the upcoming elections. The campaign involves a range of activities such as personal messages from Latinos, voter registrations, workshops, social media campaigns, and public service videos featuring celebrities and influencers. Among the participants are well-known names such as Wilmer Valderrama, Rosario Dawson, America Ferrera and Jessica Alba, according to the Associated Press.

Valderrama, who directed and produced the campaign videos, said Latinos are an essential part of American society and that the campaign seeks to engage them to vote to ensure their contribution to the country is recognized. In addition to social media efforts, the foundation collaborated with more than 170 college campus organizations and 300 partners, including the NFL, Universal Music and Sony, to promote voter registration during Hispanic Heritage Month.

The article also highlights the growing importance of the Latino vote, since, according to the 2020 Census, Latinos represent 19.5% of the American population, being the largest minority group in the country. In analysis by the Pew Research Center, it is estimated that 36.2 million Latinos will be eligible voters in the next elections, a record that solidifies the group as a decisive voting bloc in key states such as Arizona, California and Nevada.

Also according to the Associated Press, Maria Teresa Kumar, president of the Latino Vote Foundation, stressed the importance of empowering the Latino community through the inclusion of ordinary Latinos in the campaign's videos. According to her, the Latino vote has the power to shape the future of the country, as long as everyone is registered and participates in the vote. Rosario Dawson reinforced this message by saying that Latinos can be decisive in elections and that mobilization, especially among young people and first-time voters, is essential.
