Congressman Adriano Espaillat is a representative from New York’s 13th Congressional District and is highlighted as the first Dominican-American to serve in the U.S. House of Representatives, representing a diverse area that includes Harlem, East Harlem, West Harlem, Hamilton Heights, Washington Heights, Inwood, Marble Hill, and the northwest Bronx.
First elected in 2016, Espaillat is serving his fourth term in Congress and plays crucial roles on committees and caucuses, including the House Appropriations Committee, the House Budget Committee, and the vice chair of the Congressional Hispanic Caucus (CHC).
