Victoria Neave Criado is a Democratic representative from Texas House District 107 that encompasses parts of Dallas, Mesquite and Garland. For the 88th Legislative Session, she was appointed chair of the House Committee on County Affairs and is a member of the Committee on Business and Industry. In addition, it highlights her role as chair of the Mexican American Legislative Caucus (MALC), being the first woman elected to this position in thirty years.

Among some of Victoria Criado’s legislative achievements are the passage of the historic Lavinia Masters Act, which addresses the backlog of thousands of untested rape kits, as well as bills related to sexual harassment, domestic violence, human trafficking, and higher education. It should be noted that the Lavinia Masters Act received unprecedented funding of $50 million from the state budget.
