Carolina Giraldo Navarro (born February 14, 1991), better known by her stage name Karol G, is a Colombian singer-songwriter. Recognized as one of the most successful artists in Latin American pop, her music moves predominantly between reggaeton and Latin trap, with incursions into other genres such as reggae and country music. She rose to prominence as a striking female presence in reggaeton and won awards such as the Latin Grammy for Best New Artist in 2018. Her success includes impactful collaborations such as "Ahora Me Llama" with Bad Bunny, "China" with Anuel AA, J Balvin, Daddy Yankee and Ozuna, and the global hit "Tusa" with Nicki Minaj.
Karol G began her career as a teenager, participating in the Colombian version of The X Factor.
